Dual ISP

Dual ISP adds an extra dimension to the unique Widex Integrated Signal Processing platform. By adding a new layer – the awareness layer – Dual ISP further refines and improves sound quality.

Dual ISP consists of two layers:

  • The listening layer makes a detailed analysis of the input and reproduces clear, near-natural sound in up to 15 channels accordingly. The System optimiser maintains the checks and balances that ensure continuous, efficient performance. And TruSound compression in this layer ensures as realistic output as possible.

  • The awareness layer includes the fractal generator that provides tones, signal integrity for clearly audible external inputs and individual program profiles, as well as SmartSpeak.

Audibility Extender

The unique Audibility Extender listening program can help to extend the audibility range into high frequencies. This is helpful to users with ski-slope hearing loss who may miss out on these sounds.

TruSound compression

Brilliant sound requires balance. Soft sounds must still be audible, normal speech must be intelligible and loud sounds must be perceived as loud with-out being uncomfortable or distorted.

The listening layer features our unique TruSound compression system. This is a system with pre-dominantly slow acting compression, TruSound automatic output control and TruSound stabilisers.

The combination of these parts ensures smooth transitions in the sound processing system in response to dynamically changing listening environments. This gives more clarity in the hearing aid output and sets the scene for better hearing.
