ISP

Outstanding sound relies on outstanding technology. In 2005 Widex set new standards within digital sound processing by introducing a new platform, Integrated Signal Processing (ISP).

Integrated Signal Processing or ISP is the backbone of the famous Widex sound. With the ISP platform, all hearing aid functions are continuously controlled and coordinated automatically in response to changes in the user’s environment.

The core of this is the Dynamic Integrator™, which coordinates and controls processing units so that they can communicate effectively and perform efficiently. The Dynamic Integrator is at the centre of what is called the listening layer, which is made up of sound processing, sound analysis and the system optimiser.

ISP technology focus:

  • Improvement in speech intelligibility
  • Personalised listening comfort
  • Awareness of environmental sounds
  • Feedback cancelling
